We Need Your Help! ...

In the midst of the omicron variant surge, King County hospitals and healthcare partners are issuing an urgent plea to the public to help reduce pressure on hospitals so they can provide essential care for those who need it.

While there are promising signs with cases on the decline the past few days, King County hospitals are still under tremendous strain from increased hospitalizations, staff shortages and difficulty discharging patients who no longer need care. In the previous month, COVID-19 hospitalizations increased over 700 percent from 8 to 70 people hospitalized each day.

Like all regional hospitals, Overlake Medical Center and Clinics continues to work diligently to keep our patients, staff, providers and the community healthy. The best way to do this is through the proven prevention measures including masking, social distancing, hand hygiene and being fully vaccinated. Our hospitals are struggling like never before and that can affect everyone in the community as they try to get needed care. Please do your part in not only preserving your own health but also for your loved ones and your community.

Our entire staff works hard to support our community. Now we need our community to support us. By helping to reduce the spread of COVID, our community is not only protecting their own families, but they are protecting our healthcare workforce and ensuring we will have enough staff to continue to provide much needed services.

Launched in 2017, GCCHE was born out of meetings at the December 2015 COP-21 climate conference in Paris and an earlier White House special session on the need for greater investment in the study of and planning for the health impacts of climate change. Today, the Consortium has 220 members around the world who have pledged to educate their students on the health impacts of climate change, such as air pollution, extreme weather events, food and housing insecurity, heat-related illness, and vector-borne diseases. Yet many more schools must be recruited to build the global capacity necessary to address all these impacts; still too many health professions curricula turn a blind eye to climate change.

Then the best way to phrase it would be to jump right into the question without I need your help, because saying so makes it sound as though you have more of an urgent, sensitive, personal problem than a simple question or two (they might be a bit taken aback by the phrase).

However, if you have several questions (let's say more than 2), or if you just want to sound a bit more polite, you could preface the content with a phrase like I was wondering I you might be able to answer a few questions of mine, or, I have a few questions that I was hoping you might be able to help me with.

The Committee sought out andinterviewed faculty from across the Institute, including all thecurrent members of the Editorial Board of the FacultyNewsletter. They released their report late last summer. Thepurpose of this editorial is to provide you with some highlights ofthat report, and to seek your assistance in complying with theCommittee's major recommendations.

The Report notes that virtually allfaculty value the Newsletter and wish it to continue.Suggestions were made about types and length of articles, topics tobe addressed, and other ways to improve the publication. But thestrongest recommendation concerned the need to continually renewfaculty participation.

We need you to help us with this. Itis your Newsletter, and your articles and e-mailcomments and suggestions will make this a better, more representativevoice of the faculty. But the most important need is for you to jointhe Newsletter Editorial Board. It's really not much work  theBoard meets a couple of times a year in a cordial setting (usuallysomeone's department conference room) and we even serve refreshments.Board members are asked to serve on an Editorial Committee for anupcoming issue, which involves one or two brief meetings andsubsequent e-mail communications to solicit articles from facultymembers we think would have something interesting to say on the topicwe have chosen. And that's about it.

Tech accelerators and co-working spaces shouldn't be reserved exclusively for big metro names such as San Francisco, Houston, or Chicago. They should be in my city and they should be in yours. It took a while for some of the businesses in my local City of Orlando to recognize this need but I'm glad they did. The folks over at Canvs have taken time out of their day jobs to put this together and make it happen. That's what it's going to take, local thought leaders and business people coming together. Because of their efforts we now have the attention of the Orlando Economic Development Commission.

Most startups are one or two-person shops, with big gaps in their skill sets and experience. Adding startup mentors to the \"extended\" team helps them to fill these gaps at no cost and sometimes with a better result than if they had hired someone full-time.

That success will lead them to expand out of these co-working spaces and into the local community at large and they will draw in more sophisticated talent to the region. Not only will you indirectly benefit from a stronger, richer city, but you may quite possibly directly benefit from a future business relationship or contact born from the beginnings of a fledgling startup that you once helped influence.

If you find yourself on a family vacation in the remote, mysterious wetlands of Pitt County or would just love a short road trip through the Blue Ridge Mountains, you should bring a wildlife camera with you! Need an excuse to visit the state and national parks across North Carolina Set up a camera trap in these data-parched counties that the NCCC Project has yet to explore!

This Global Inciting Incident as setup for one of your Global Climax payoffs is stuff you need to figure out before you bang out 100,000 words. Knowing where you are beginning and where you will generally end up is a surefire way to increase your odds of writing a story that works.

So you can use the suspense and this unknowingness of the reader to create narrative drive. So to answer your question, the victim will transition from the brother, probably it will remain the brother too throughout, in to the sister who is your hero. So the hero becomes the victim by the climax of your global story. Does that make sense

Now, they are committed to collecting the data that will build the case for presumptive cancer legislation needed to help volunteers who develop cancers known to be related to firefighting.

At The Body is Not An Apology, we are committed to accessibility for our community members with disabilities. As the Content Manager, one of the ways in which I help to create accessibility is to write image descriptions for photographs and other graphics included with our articles. Many blind and visually impaired folks use Screen Reader, which reads text but not graphics. So I translate the images into text in order to make the images accessible to people who cannot see them clearly.

There is no perfect solution to these issues, but we would love to hear what you have to say. Your willingness to share your ideas will help us craft the best possible guidelines for our image descriptions.

JoyJ's mission is to provide essential support to homeless and needy populations through direct volunteer-led outreach programs - we create outreach packages with food, toiletries, and other essentials and seek out homeless on the streets and those in need in shelters to i) give them the package and ii) converse with them to ensure they know they are loved, respected and not forgotten.

In the past 5 years, we have touched 90,621+ lives, with over 4700+ volunteers distributing 561K+ items. We ask our volunteers to lead and organize outreaches anywhere in the world.
